Innovation leads to a green future

Green Flame Climate Innovation Award opens for registration, invites you to join us in drawing a low-carbon blueprint

In the context of increasingly severe global climate change, innovative climate thinking and practical capabilities are critical to addressing this global challenge. The **Green Flame Climate Innovation Awards**, a joint initiative by multiple organizations, aim to identify and honor organizations that tackle climate change through technological and business model innovations.

The awards recognize the most innovative organizations in the energy, climate, and low-carbon technology sectors. They seek to encourage outstanding advancements across categories such as climate technology, sustainable systems, carbon tech, smart grids, energy storage, battery technology, transportation, and artificial intelligence (AI), celebrating organizations that drive climate innovation and transformation through cutting-edge technologies and solutions.

The Green Flame Climate Innovation Awards focus on technologies leading the charge in climate innovation—whether through technological breakthroughs, creative applications, or pioneering strategies that redefine the future of climate action. Eligible entries include innovative climate-related products, solutions, or services.

Startups, established companies, and nonprofit organizations are all encouraged to apply, provided they meet the award categories and criteria. Through this initiative, the Green Flame Climate Innovation Awards aspire to catalyze a wave of climate innovation, accelerate global climate governance, and collectively build a green, low-carbon, and sustainable future.

◆Technological/Model Breakthrough:

Does the project propose a new technological approach, business model, or methodology? Does its innovation show significant differentiation and breakthrough compared to existing solutions?

◆Cross-Domain Integration:

Does it creatively apply achievements from other fields (e.g., artificial intelligence, biotechnology) to the climate sector? Does it achieve synergistic innovation through cross-boundary collaboration?

◆Intellectual Property and Barriers:

Does the project possess independent intellectual property (e.g., patents, core technologies)? Can its innovation establish future technological or market barriers to prevent rapid replication?

Project Practicality (25%)
◆Feasibility of Implementation:

Does the project's technological maturity and resource requirements (e.g., funding, manpower, infrastructure) align with current market or community conditions? Is it operable?

◆Scalability Validation:

Are there pilot or real-world application cases? Has the project demonstrated its effectiveness in addressing climate issues and gained acceptance from users/communities during pilot phases?

Awards and Opportunities

In each category, three finalists will be selected, with one ultimate winner chosen. The winners will receive the invaluable opportunity to showcase their projects at the upcoming 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), to be held in Belém, Brazil. This not only recognizes the innovative achievements of the winners but also provides an international platform to highlight China's wisdom and contributions in addressing climate change.

Even more exciting is that the winners will have the opportunity to attend the COP30 venue in person, engaging in face-to-face exchanges with global climate leaders, experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs. This will be a rare chance to share experiences and broaden horizons, offering an invaluable opportunity for learning and growth.

COP30 activity

During COP30, we will also host a series of exciting events, including climate innovation-themed conferences, exhibitions, and more, aimed at gathering global wisdom on climate innovation and collectively exploring solutions to climate change. Additionally, in the Blue Zone, we have specially set up a dedicated exhibition area to provide participants with a platform to showcase their initiatives to the world.
